Motor Position Sensor Magnet

MPS MODULE

APPLICATION
Overview
MPS (Motor Position Sensor) is a component that allows a sensor (Hall IC)
to detect motor rotation for precise control.

It is inserted into the shaft of an electric motor and incorporates a circular magnet.

The sensor IC detects rotation data for ECU-based motor control.

Available in two types: Axial Sensing and Radial Sensing.

Motor Position Sensor
C-Type EPS Application
Positioned on the steering shaft
Internally located, ensuring high durability, efficient space use, and easy design.

Motor Position Sensor
R-Type EPS Application
Positioned on the rack gear of the wheel steering shaft
Provides a better steering feel with lower perceived steering torque than C-Type.
EPS is a system that detects the steering direction and speed through a torque sensor when the driver operates the steering wheel.
It then activates the electric motor to provide the necessary driving force for steering assistance.
